Raise your hand if you have ever been personally victimized by Serena Van der Woodsen.
Is no secret that for years everbody wanted to be on the Upper East Side, at least on Gossip Girl, because who didn´t want to have a secret blogger posted and, in some ways stalking your every move, but if you were Blair Waldorf or Serena Van der Woodsen that was not a problem, the more you were spotted on a GGBlast the better.
However for Blake Lively playing Serena got to be a little too much. In the may issue of Allure Magazine Blake adresses her lingering feelings for Gossip Girl, the show/ iconic piece of art that made her famous.
"people loved it, but it always felt a little personally compromising - you want to be putting a better message out there", she said. A better message?! What could possibly be a better message than " wear glittery halter tops at 8:00 a.m so you too can get an intership with David O. Russell when you´re not even remotely qualified for it?
Still, for Blake, it felt like beign on TV for so long, playing the same character, caused people to confuse her with Serena Van der Woodsen, which she, for some reason believes is a bad thing. " It´s a weird thing when people feel like they know you really well, and they don´t". She explained. " I would not be proud to be the person who gave someone drugs that made them overdose and then shot someone and slept with someone else´s boyfriend".
Yeah, but that those were mostly accident, and if Serena ever shot somebody, we certainly don´t remember. The Nate hookup was indefensible though. Hadn´t Serena ever heard of girl code?
